In a groundbreaking journey, Dr. Amjadkhan Nadim Shaikh, known as “Iron Man,” along with Sandeep Pawar, completed the world’s first and longest bike ride for a noble cause. Beginning in Gurgaon on 25th May 2024 and concluding in Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on 26th June 2024, the duo covered over 15,000 kilometers across India in 34 days, riding a Honda H’ness CB 350.
Their journey took them through the varied terrains of India, including the world’s highest motorable pass, Umling La, at 19,024 feet. But this ride was about more than endurance and adventure; it was a mission to raise awareness about the rising male suicide rates, the misuse of gender-based laws, and the pressing need for a National Men’s Commission in India.
Supported by the Men Welfare Trust and Save Indian Family, this ride brought critical issues affecting men to the forefront. By achieving this record, Dr. Amjadkhan and Sandeep Pawar have set a new standard in endurance biking and ignited a much-needed conversation about men’s rights.
The Credence Book of World Records officially recognizes this historic ride, marking a significant milestone in India’s fight for men’s welfare.
